How they met…
The Summer of 2000, both were in a Wisconsin chat room on AOL. The chat room conversations were all over the place, Carmella was attempting to steer the conversation to a specific topic, the latest rare find on ‘Antiques Roadshow’. Jim sent her an instant message [IM] discussing other Antique Roadshow episodes. They bonded over antiques, and a fast friendship formed. At first IM’s, then email and finally after 8 months; phone calls. 11 months into their friendship, they decided to finally meet face–to–face. That day was July 30, 2001. And the rest as they say is history, they have been a couple ever since their first meeting almost 23 years ago.

How they met…
They were in Massage Therapy school together. It was Halloween and the school had encouraged students to dress up. Michele wore her court dress from the Renaissance Fair and Charles wore his pirate garb. A friend of Michele’s commented on her dress and then spotted Charles dressed as a pirate and literally flung them together. The two entered the costume contest at school and won passes for dinner and a movie in the Couples category.
